Generally, there are three types of non-metallic overhead fiber optic cables, GYFTY, GYFTS, and GYFTA. GYFTA is a non-metal reinforced core, aluminum armored fiber optic cable. GYFTS is a non-metal reinforced core, steel armored fiber optic cable.

The GYFTY fiber optic cable adopts a loose-layer twisted structure, and the optical fiber is sheathed in a loose tube made of high-modulus polyester material, and the tube is filled with a waterproof compound. The loose tube (and filler rope) is twisted around a non-metallic central reinforcement (FRP) into a compact cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with water-blocking grease. Extruded polyethylene sheath outside the cable core.

The GYFTA fiber optic cable adopts a loose-layer twisted structure, and the optical fiber is sheathed in a loose tube made of high-modulus polyester material, and the tube is filled with a waterproof compound. The loose tube (and filler rope) is twisted around a non-metallic central reinforcement (FRP) into a compact cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with water-blocking grease. The outer aluminum armor of the cable core is longitudinally wrapped, and then the polyethylene sheath is extruded. GYFTS is the same structure as GYFTA, which replaces the aluminum armor with double-coated steel tape.

There is no metal substance in the structure of GYFTY, which is suitable for lightning areas, high voltage areas, and places with severe electromagnetic interference. Generally, GYFTA and GYFTS fiber optic cables can also be used for electricity, in places with low environmental requirements. Non-metallic FRP central reinforcing core, good tensile performance, anti-conductive fiber optic cable Product features: non-metallic (FRP) reinforcement, suitable for lightning areas, high-voltage areas, anti-lightning; Shock, can be repeatedly bent, twisted, twisted, bent (bending angle not exceeding 90°), gunshot, etc., with good mechanical properties; stable temperature cycle, complete sheath, anti-seepage dripping, flame retardant and other good environments Performance; Precisely controlled fiber excess length and cable stranding pitch ensure that the fiber optic cable has excellent tensile performance and temperature characteristics; life expectancy is greater than 30 years. Light weight, small cable length, and small load on towers.
