ADSS Cable Drums must be loaded using a forklift. Cable reels can be installed:
• in pairs in a row in the direction of travel (the jaws with the inner ends of the cable brought out must be located on the side of the sides);
• one in a row in the center of the body in the direction of travel, if it is impossible to place in pairs or there are separate requirements of the carrier; the cheeks with the inner ends of the cable brought out should be directed in one direction;
• across the movement if the gross weight of the drum does not exceed 500 kg.
The ADSS cable drums are secured to the vehicle using wedges. Each drum must be fastened with four wedges to the wooden floor:
under each cheek along the direction and against the direction of movement. Each drum must be secured on the sides with straps to prevent the drums from moving to the side.
When fastening drums, it is prohibited to pierce through the cheek boards and drum casing with nails and staples.
