48 Core Fiber Optic ADSS Cable, this optical cable uses 6 loose tubes(or partial gasket for packing) to wind around the FRP and become the a complete round cable core, which is stranded of certain number of Kevlar with potentiation after being covered with PE internal sheath. Finally, the PE external sheath will be squeezed. The loose tube is made of the materials with great temperature properties. Several single mode or multi mode optical fiber (2-8 core) of a proper extra length and the oil jelly used for moistureproof optical fiber are put into the tube. The slits of the cable core are fulfilled with water-blocking compound.

Application:
ADSS optic cables are widely used on 220KV, 110KV, 35KV voltage level transmission lines, especially on existing lines. It provides a feasible way for power departments to directly use high-voltage transmission line towers to build their own communication networks. ADSS optic cable is suitable for overhead laying across rivers, valleys, lightning concentrated areas and special tension environments.
ADSS cable is installed 10 ft to 20 ft (3m to 6m) below the phase conductors. Grounded armor rod assemblies support the fiber-optic cable at each supporting structure. Utilities have reported failures of ADSS installed on their high voltage lines. The high electric field on transmission lines generates continuous corona discharge at the end of supporting armor rods. This discharge leads to cable deterioration. In polluted environments, dry band arcing causes cable deterioration when fog or dew occasionally wet the cable. ADSS life expectancy on power lines depends on the following factors:
